Thanks to Denise (card crazy), our guest hostess for the March TeaPotter Swap. We were asked to show how the 'grass' can absolutely be greener on our side of the fence. Sabrina, the photo prompts were especially on pointe this month. That beautiful clay teapot and lawnmower...made me smile.
I pondered and slept on it and finally realized my friends have truly been the richest blessing to me. I love that I've had friends through many seasons of my life, some for a brief time and some along for the marathon. Some who have poured out of their strengths for me and some who have needed me to be the strong one.
I used Technique Junkies 'Tamashii Modern Frame' as my base. It was inked with the Rich Cocoa on the branches and with 'Dazzle' on the leaves. I used the Ranger 'Lemon Drop' Speckle ep.. Fussy cut the dragonflies and use Wink of Stella on the wings. I added a snippet of seam binding at the bottom corner. Emily's quote was stamped in between the branches with VersaFine 'Clair Twilight'.
This card also fits with the F4A580 Heat Embossing. Angie is our hostess. I love embossing powder...and with the new mixed media and chunky choices, I am one happy camper!
Thanks for stopping by, I would love to hear your thoughts on Dickerson's quote.

Ah, yes we are thinking along on the same page, Susan. Love, love all that wonderful chunky embossing. It was a feast just reading about all these products you used. The Dickerson quote is wonderful!

So many amazing EPs out now! Beautiful frame and I love the dragonflies.
The TPT photos were Denise's provision, by the way ;-) Sometimes I'd cookies but the hostess always provides our teapot. Wasn't it lovely! It reminded me of the work of an old family friend who was a potter.

Susan your embossing is magical...it sparkles and every time I look at your flowers I expect to feel the texture. I love the added touch of the dragonflies and I would never have known it was seam binding at the bottom. A true sentiment and yes friends come and go throughout our journey and leave behind memories and experiences rather than things. It makes me think that without friends..and family...all we have left are things. TFS. Happy day

Beautiful, Susan. So well done and thoughtful. Friends are wonderful treasures and add so much joy to our lives. When we are gone, we only live through those we have touched. Beautiful card and beautiful way of thinking. Hugz and Happy Easter!

I am with you on the use of ep... could use it every day, multiple times. This is so beautiful and that sentiment.......Yes, if we could 'will' our friends to the next generation, what a lovely thing that would be. I guess we do, in a way. My kids know my friends and love them like I do.

I need to use more ep! You've inspired me..I have a lot of it but fail to pull it out. It's so lovely here. That twilight ink is perfect for the quote (I got some of that recently). Fab card! Your quote and write up has me thinking of all the friends over the years...you can pick up with true friends at any time of your life. And age doesn't matter...I have really good friends much older and younger than I am. Happy to call you friend...

Elegant card. The gold embossed leaves sparkle and pair beautifully with the teal dragonflies and ribbon! And the Dickinson quote, which I love, reminds me of another adage, to find joy in people, not things. TFS!
